• Big News!! Andy was awarded the title "Entertainer of the Year" at the Event Solutions Magazine Spotlight Awards Gala in August 2007 in Miami Beach.
  
  
• In March, 2007, Celebrity Planner Colin Cowie released his new book Extraordinary Weddings featuring the fourteen favorite wedding productions of his career. Sound Connection performed for, and was talked about,
  in both the first and fourth parties covered in the book!
  
  
• Andy Kushner and Sound Connection were named as part of BRIDES Magazine "Dream Team" in their July, 2006 issue for their fantasy wedding promotion to be held at Cinderella's Castle at  Walt Disney World™ Resort on February 14, 2007.  Andy was interviewed by the magazine for an article which appeared in the Nov/Dec 2006 issue. The event was covered by many members of the press including Entertainment Tonight and the Food Network. Other members of the "Dream Team" include celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera, Food Network's Tyler Florence, master pastry chef Sylvia Weinstock, and a renowned makeup artist, hair stylist, photography team and fashion designer.


• Andy and Jeff arranged the horn parts and recorded trumpet and sax, respectively, on "Out of a Dream" from platinum recording artist, Najee’s August 2007 CD release "Rising Sun" which debuted on Billboard's Smooth Jazz Chart at #1.
  
  
• Sound Connection performed multiple times on The Smooth Jazz Cruise, hosted by Wayman Tisdale, in January 2007. The band was the hit of the cruise and several of the Smooth Jazz stars sat in with them including International Recording Artists Najee, Wayman Tisdale, Brian Simpson and several others. Andy was hired on trumpet, along with sax player Jeff, to perform in the horn section for Wayman's two major shows. World renown bass player and producer Marcus Miller sat in as well as Najee, Jonathan Butler and Rick Braun.


• In September 2006, all three of Andy's bands Sound Connection, Sound Nation and Marquise were flown by LIUNA to Bally's Casino in Las Vegas to perform for 3500 people at an elaborately produced event. Due to overwhelming crowd response, all three bands were asked to perform overtime.


• August 2006, Andy produced the live musical entertainment for International Event Industry's "Event Solutions 2006 Spotlight Awards Gala" held in Denver, CO. He brought in six acts and over thirty musicians and vocalists from various cities. Event Solutions' President John Baragona said he pushed "the envelope nearly as far as it could be pushed" and it was "spectacular!!!"
  

• A Presidential "well done" was given in person to Andy Kushner when he and Sound Connection performed for President George W. Bush and 6,000 guests at the President’s Dinner fundraiser in June, 2006.
  

• That same month, more D.C. insiders were treated to the talents of Sound Connection when they headlined the Ambassadors' Ball honoring Israel's Ambassador, Daniel Ayalon, and legendary photographer Annie Liebowitz.
  

• Andy's feature article, "Booking The Band," is published in Elegant Bride's Spring 2006 issue.
  
  
• The Bellagio , the stylish Las Vegas resort and casino, hired Sound Connection's Entertainment Producer, Andy Kushner, to work with their event planner to produce the musical entertainment for a 2006 New Year's gala for their high rollers and celebrity guests.

In addition to the performance by the band's ten members, Kushner helped to create an entertainment extravaganza which included more than 20 dancers and celebrity music artists such as lead vocalist Brent Carter (Tower of Power), Chantele Doucette (TV's Star Search vocal winner), singer Toni Menage (Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam) and Robyn Lobe (former percussionist and dancer Tito Puente band member).

• B-52's star singer, Fred Schneider, performed "Love Shack" and "Planet Claire" on stage with Sound Connection at Mark Famiglio's lavish wedding held at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida. Guests included Michael Stipe, lead singer for REM, politicians and international socialites.

• Celebrity wedding planner, Marcy Blum, hired Sound Connection for a society bridal client’s wedding held at Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island and designed by renowned event designer and author, Preston Bailey.

• Sound Connection were touted as the "ultimate wedding band" when they were featured on the popular TBS television series "Dinner and a Makeover". during wedding planning segment breaks created by television's "The Party Planner," David Tutera, when the show aired the Jennifer Lopez hit, "The Wedding Planner."

• Sound Connection plays at the elite Yellowstone Club in Bozeman , Montana . The Yellowstone counts Microsoft founder Bill Gates and golfing great Tiger Woods as members. Club owner, Tim Blixseth, says Sound Connection" is a superb band."

• At "The Special Event", the world's largest gathering of event professionals, Sound Connection performs in front of more than 1,500 guests as the grand finale entertainment for the 2005 conference's Opening Night soiree in Miami produced by celebrated event designer, Sean DeFreitas.

• Sound Connection headlines the 2004 New Year's Eve gala for more than 4,000 VIPs at the Las Vegas Hilton.

• At the Washington , D.C. "Event Solutions Conference," Sound Connection wows the audience of hundreds of event professionals. Within weeks, planners in attendance booked the band for performances at their Hawaii , Houston and Miami special events.

• Sound Connection plays at Donald Trump's 2002 and 2003 New Year's Eve VIP party at his Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago mansion.

• Coca-Cola hired Sound Connection when they hosted an elite reception at the Salt Lake City Olympics.

• Media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, hires Sound Connection to perform at his NewsCorp party in New York City before more than 5,000 guests.
